NAD +

I'm researching increasing NAD+ with either MSN or NR, or both. Still hard to tell which one is absorbed better. Anyone have any experience one way or the other?

Intermittent Fasting

One of the really cool things is I rarely get hungry at all. Occasionally I get a little dizzy. In fact a did a few mins ago and had a little sip of MCT oil. Seems to take the edge off. I've been doing varying levels of intermittent fasting since 2019. The most common was variations on 16:8. I don't have much luck not eating at night(I'm a night owl), so I finally just stopped fighting it and only eat at night. My current eating window is 7pm to 11pm(I keep 10pm to 11pm open as cheating time), so my real window is 7 to 10. That works, but my metabolism is really slow, so I added in 5:2, and skip eating Friday and Monday night. I'm losing weight well, but anticipate plateaus and plan to close my eating window down to 9pm till 11, and eventually only eat 4 meals a week, skipping Friday, Saturday and Tuesday.

Wim Hof Breathing

I saw some Wim Hof videos about a year ago. Reminded my of the Sanchin kata from Goju Ryu, my first martial art. I added it to my list of daily reminders, and I do at least one 20 breath round of breathing every day. Update on 8/8/2021 - I saw Wim on a YouTube video and downloaded his app. I'm doing his beginning exercises every day now.

Ergonomics

I've been a software engineer for about 25 years now.
I started getting near sighted about 10 years ago, but I'm too vain to get glasses, so I keep getting bigger and bigger monitors. I'm up to six 55" monitors(I'm compensating...)

I use a Bat Infogrip Keyboard and a trackball. Back 30 years ago I in another life I starting to get carpal tunnel from typing reports on a tiny keyboard in my van. I went to an ergonomic computer store and asked the guy for a Dvorak keyboard with a split layout. He says, "Well, I can order you one, but if you're willing to learn how to type all over again, take a look at this thing". How can you go wrong with a Batman keyboard?, so I bought it. I spent about a month doing the tutorial an hour a day, then just unplugged my regular keyboard and put it in the attic to force myself to learn it. I have about 8 of the old ones in storage so I can cannibalize them for parts in case they ever stop making them.

I've been wearing Gunnar glasses for years now. So long I don't really remember when I started. I'm on my second pair. They definitely seem to help my eyes. I just have a bad habit of forgetting to put them on. I use a standing desk with a bar stool height saddle chair. It seems to help by forcing me to maintain my posture with my core muscles. I do rows and shoulder shrugs, and focus on keeping my shoulders back while I'm working. If i don't, I notice that my shoulders start wrapping around my head like a taco after a few weeks, list most of us software engineers.

Turns out my idea of Gluconeogenesis as the cause of the high blood glucose was probably wrong. It got up to 310 a couple times so I finally...
