Keto and High Blood Glucose
I was wearing the Abbott Continuous Blood Glucose Monitors when I started Keto and Intermittent Fasting. They showed my blood glucose going down toward normal consistently. After the incident in my previous post, I also started checking with blood. The blood monitors(I have 3 now, 2 from my insurance provider and a POGO. I'll do a post on the POGO in the future. It's cool. I mean who doesn't want a Revolver vs a single shot?) show consistently high in the morning. 175 ish. I've researched it and the posts I found on it say that it happens when you convert to Keto, and to not worry too much unless it lasts a long time.
I'm doing almost zero carbs keto. I eat cheese, heavy cream, nuts, etc that have a few carbs, but my intake should be well below 20 g a day. The articles I've found say it isn't food intake , but my liver processing my fat that is increasing my blood glucose level, combined with my muscles not wanting the glucose because they've converted to using Ketones for energy. Hard to know if it's true(anyone can post anything they want on the internet), but I'm just going to trust the process for awhile and see if it fixes itself.

Abbot CGM Problems
Last night I ended up visiting the ER because my FreeStyle Libre2 said my blood glucose was 41 mg/dl. I tested 117 at home with a blood meter, but I was feeling kinda funny so went to get checked. They checked me in the ER at 122.
I started telling them my story and they tried to nab me.
Barely escaped!
Yesterday morning I started getting AFib around 9:30 am. I woke up at 6:30am, which is pretty unusual for me, and probably a little stressful to my body. I've been doing 20:4 and 5:2 intermittent fasting, and had been fasting for about 36 hours, adding to the stress. I have medicine for the AFib, but didn't take it right away. I've been using mechanical methods for Hiatal Hernia to get the AFib to convert back to normal. I purposely stick my stomach out, jump up and down a few times, and reach up under my left rib and tug my stomach down a few times. These usually do the trick, but this time were a no-go. I took a small amount of medicine each hour, up to the full dose I'd prefer to take at around noon. I finally converted back to normal rhythm around 1:30 pm, so about 4 hours with heart rate around 160.

Keto
I started by trying to keep my daily Carbs below 60 grams. That didn't seem to have much impact on A1c. I bought a CGM, and immediately noticed my blood glucose spiking up to around 200 a couple times a day. I decided to go extreme and stop eating all carbs. I spent a weekend watching YouTube videos about Keto, and got to it.

Turns out my idea of Gluconeogenesis as the cause of the high blood glucose was probably wrong. It got up to 310 a couple times so I finally...
